Estelle has premiered a new single titled 'Conqueror' serving as the lead single lifted from her hupcoming fourth studio album "True Romance" which is set to be released on 4th November : “This album is about the time in between breaking up with someone and becoming happy again. That time that you’re just existing. No one goes straight to happiness after a breakup” Estelle told USA Today.
'Conqueror' is a inspirational ballad that has a empowering message to it about not allowing our mistakes and fears to hinder us from claiming victory: “I’d rather stand tall than live on my knees, ’cause I am a conqueror and I won’t accept defeat,” belts out the 34 year old Londoner.
While the song it`s self sounds good, her vocals don`t do it justice as I can see Alicia Keys totally owning this song with her stronger vocal range and it`s too mainstream for her to carry out, especially knowing her target audience are usually R&B listeners. And honestly this it`s not single worthy at all, it`s more like a album filler, I don`t see it doing much on the charts.
