Music Gem: Rukhsana Merrise Releases Her EP “September Songs”

Back in September, London-based singer-songwriter Rukhsana Merrise ran a musical series called "September Songs" which saw her releasing a track each week of that month, which all came together to form a sweet EP.

The talented songstress credits Karen Carpenter, Dinah Washington, Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac, David Ruffin and Marvin Gaye as her influence which is no wonder why her project sounds as great as it does, it`s a acoustic folk set that sees her showcasing so much heart as she displays beautiful and unique voice.

The pace of the EP is relatively relaxed throughout and her voice is powerful and her songwriting shines through. "See You Again" is my favorite track as sees her more in her elements and showcasing what a talented songwriter she is, check it all out below.
