After winning the first series of ‘X-Factor (US)’, Melanie Amaro went on release a couple of singles which have all failed to have any impact on the charts and she ended up getting dropped by Epic Records. Now she returns with her newest single called “Dust” which features rapper, Fabolous and honestly she needs to do alot of work because is this one weak ass song.
The production sounds lazy and dull and unmastered and she clearly has yet to find her musical direction to take - which genre suits her vocals completely, so she can move forward with confidence. I can simply see her being a soul ballad singer as she has huge powerhouse vocals which are more suited to that genre, very Jennifer Hudson ish.
