I`ve decided to use this platform to celebrating one of the most impactful and important female figure in music, Missy Elliott who came into the music industry in early 90`s and changed the face of music forever with her colourful creativity, who also saw her paving way for upcoming artist to do the same and as well as shine light on female producers and songwriters.
Happy birthday to the most remarkably talented woman in the world, I always credit her for introducing me to hip-hop through her eye-catching and simply out of the box visuals which grabbed my attention, especially when“Get Your Freak On” came out and I still remember dancing by myself to what was then and still is my favorite song, her flow and witty, sassy and funny personality took center stage.
And once I got know the woman behind the music, I was blown away with the person she is, extremely humble and down to earth and very inspiring and a true sweetheart. She stands up for so many things and encourage young people to stay true to who they are and stay faithful to their dreams "Be determined don't let the doubts of others discourage you from what you were called to do. Let it fuel you, bump dat NO giving up.","Remove yourself from those who bring you negative energy.. Be around those who inspire you!
