After spending years and years as a background singer, Juliet Hudson is ready to step out on her own and showcase what she brings to the table: "I believe it's my time and being in the front as a solo artist was always the plan. Singing background exposed me to a lot of things and experiences and was a good way for me to learn the behind the scenes of the industry, to gear me up for when step out on my own, and I believe that time is now."
"I draw alot inspiration from alot of artist but some of my favourite artists that inspire me are people like Whitney Houston, Brandy, Sia, Maroon 5, of course Beyoncé. The list is endless because I listen to different genres depending on my mood, so I can draw inspiration from literally anyone as long as the music speaks to me."
She has just released her first debut single titled 'WONDER' which serves as the first offering lifted from her forthcoming debut EP, "Lucid", which is slated to be released independently on 4th November 2015: "The single was actually written a year ago with an amazing artist/writer called Shae Jacobs. We wanted it to be a feel good song about love because that's what felt right at the time. I had plans on releasing an EP and waited for the right time to release this song. I always knew 'wonder' would be the first song on there."
The Levi Lennox produced number is an uptempo with elements of electronic dance and pop, laced up with soulful vocals that expressed the emotions we all go through when we embrace real love that brings out the best out of us: "Don`t you ever walk away from me and don`t you ever hide away, just one reason lifts me and slowly leads me up....Now that I got you, it`s a new wonder.".
Overall: Great introduction as she delivers stellar vocals throughout the song and also displays a strong emotional connection that allows the listener to relate and feel her out. And the production is solid as it captures the emotions perfectly with a very catchy hook, that will have you singing along.
