Alicia Keys bares her soul on the showstopping single "Back To Life" which is lifted from the soundtrack for the forthcoming Disney film "Queen Of Katwe" which be hitting theaters nationwide on September 30th, it tells a story of a 10-year-old Phiona Mutesi and her family living in an impoverished area of Katwe in Kampala, Uganda, while her sights are set on being a world chess champion.
“Back To Life” is a soulful mid-tempo number that starts off with a piano-guitar driven production then the beat drops in and it turns into a slinky dance number. Her vocal delivery throughout is stellar as she sings words of encouragement and empowerment : I'm just tryna hold onto to a dream, out here lost and nothing's what it seems. I'm just tryna find where I belong, this must be the dark before the dawn. When the place that you were born is not where you belong. Tell me baby, what stops you from wearing a crown? I wanna be somebody, be somebody and I wanna go somewhere, go somewhere...."
