Single Review: Tinashe - “Company”


R&B songstress Tinashe is gearing up to releasing her upcoming second album "Joyride" very soon and has been really struggling with her new era as nothing has got people`s attention enough to make a real impact on the charts and that`s due to all the different sounds she is throwing out and not allowing one single at a time to grow on people and honestly most of the singles she has put out have been album fillers or sound too dated for her.


 For example her new single“Company” is slow-tempo number with a very pulsating beat, which create a good foundation for her to lay down her sultry vocals as she sings about needing some special “company” in her bedroom from time to time. “You're just my little side thing, just a little sweet fling. Baby you don't have to buy things.”

I don`t see this single doing anything for her at all, it`s an album filler or something that could easily left on the floor. As one of her fans commented on it "What makes me upset is she completely dropped her authenticity for more mainstream sounding music and it's not even getting radio play."

I like Tinashe but she is not allowing herself to be great as musically she is delivering above average music this era, she is not staying true to herself and the lack of support from her label is showing because they let "SuperLove" flop as it would`ve anyway but with a push it would`ve helped her make a impact. I would love for her to get back to her roots and deliver some creative music that will have us all dancing or relating to her message.
