Ari Lennox has been on my radar for a couple years now and I`m beyond happy that she is finally get some shine as she recently signed to J.Cole`s label Dreamville and has just dropped her second EP titled "Pho" which is led by her smooth-groovy number “Backseat” featuring labelmate Cozz .
"Modern, relaxed, turned up soul… It’s just chill with trappy vibes reminiscent of the beautiful music from the ‘70s." describes this 7-track EP, which is a great introduction to her as it allows her to showcase her vocals which are very reminisced of Erykah Badu - jazzy, soothing, powerful and soulfully poetical and she can sing on top of any production and create art.
