Pierre King came on my radar back in 2012 when he released his debut album "I`m Not Rich" which was a good offering, showcasing what a talented songwriter he is with a pair of tight vocals.
Three years later the Chicago native makes his return with the release of his debut EP titled "Float" which featuring 7 tracks which are displayed in a mixture of different beats that comes together beautifully, to create a solid foundation for him to showcase his amazing vocal growth which draws alot of comparisons to Brandy who he credits as one of inspirations.
The EP also allows him to showcase his amazing songwriting which was the first thing that attracted me to his work, he is a beast with the pen and he had me thinking of Dawn Richard which is another talented artist out here doing some amazing "out of the fucking box" music. With that said I highly recommend you to stream the EP below and head to over to iTunes and purchase this solid album, support real artist making real music.
Favorite tracks: "Open Letter", "I Miss It", "Drip", "How High" and "Clouds".
