August Alsina recently sat down with Jada Pinkett-Smith for a very intimate interview where he revealed that he has been battling liver disease which has really upset the balance of his life but he is pushing on forward and allowing it get the best of him as he putting on the energy and focus back on his music. As he just released his newest single “Don’t Matter.” which will serve as the official lead single of his forthcoming third "Drugs"album which is slated to be release sometime this year.
“Don’t Matter” is a guitar driven number about falling in love and love making:"I be knocking down the walls every time you make that call, you be changing all your plans, but you're calling' me your man. You got something I can feel baby, girl it's been so long. I been been having withdrawals, I been having withdrawals..."
Nice track, hope it gets the perfect promotion it deserves as he gets older his music get better and his whole musical approach is amazing, he`s so mature and uses his voice to address very real topics that many of us can relate to. His last album "This Thing Called Life’" was actually his best album to date and made me a fan, he bared his soul and delivered a raw project that sadly went unappreciated by most people but they missed out a great album. Hopefully his new album will get more attention and see him shine even more.
