Missy Elliott is the rarest breed of artist that can deliver some groundbreaking visuals that showcase her creativity on full display and her music is gloriously weird and revolutionary, she is never scared to step all the way out there to deliver some timeless shit.
Her legacy is full of rich discography that`s still ahead of the game today and gets people up and dancing their ass off and her delivery is so colourful and witty and also features some hilarious bits while serving some realness with an infectious attitude.
And I love the way Missy forever praises female rappers that came before her as they broke down doors for her and her fellow females rappers to do the same for the following generation and she has also used her talents to help other artist reach their greatness...
And I love the fact her music always encourages female empowerment, female promiscuity, high self-esteem and even body positivity. As you don`t need to be a size to be beautiful nor considered sexy, she showed women that your size doesn`t matter, just own your shit.
