Music Gem: June's Diary - "Ratchet Life"

June’s Diary is honestly one of the hottest on the music scene since Destiny`s Child, as they all have their unique qualities to the voices and together they sound even more powerful and solid. So I was extremely excited when they recently dropped their debut mixtape “Male Edition” and went on perform at the 2017 Essence festival, showcasing some new songs as well displaying their growth as a group.

Today a lovely little tune has made it`s way online, simply called "Racthet Life" which is a piano driven number that sees they singing about getting lost in a lifestyle that doesn`t honour you as a person, "No more of this ratchet life, just throw away your disguise, because under the truth, there's much more than this ratchet life. Won't last till the morning light, you're still putting up a fight, what do you have to prove,I just miss the old you...."

The song speaks a sad reality that alot of young women and men live, getting caught up in something that brings them nothing but attention, nothing that truly feeds the soul.
