My brother just introduced me to one of the dopest groups emerging on the music scene called The Skin, which consists of five members Bay Li,Kaya Nico,Reef Cole,Daisy Spencer and Russ Chell. Last year they dropped their debut EP "Still Sleep" features a range of different sounds that actually work together and fits their name and image, from alternative R&B to pop rock backup by a tribal vibe within the arrangement.
And I have to say the lead singer Bay Li`s vocals are extremely strong and powerful and have a great texture to them that you can't help but feel whatever she is singing about and the weight of emotion on them sound amazing, she is all the way in it. The production throughout is very strong creating a great foundation for the band to play around as they are not holding back and it`s quite refreshing hearing a new act delivering some quality shit and seeing people who know what they are about and not getting lost in the mess of the music industry.
