Each week I plan composing a list of newly released songs that I think you should hear. Here are some of the best releases you may have missed this week! Don’t forget who put you on!
British songstress Sinead Harnett has teamed up with the extremely talented and soulful heartthrob Gallant for on her latest single "Pulling Away" which is a heartfelt and sultry ballad produced by STINT and here`s what she had to say about it "Dealing with a betrayal is tricky. You forgive, but you never forget. One minute you’re back in a good place, the next you’re pulling away…"
I hope this track is a preview Harnett's forthcoming project, that will the follow-up her 2017's "Chapter One" debut album that was beautiful yet underrated but hopefully all the hard work she has been putting in will pay off and she will gain international success as she`s the total package within a beautiful package and she`s so gifted.
Elle Varner recently returned on the music scene with her latest musical offering which comes in a form of a new studio album simply named "Ellevation" which features a 9 tracks and two guest appearances from Wale and Rapsody. The album is good and smooth and displays alot of vocal growth and songwriting also showcases alot of maturity and rawness, her track "1-10" is a very sensual number with a sultry vocal delivery as she sings about yearning for a ex boyfriend to make up his current relationship and come over and put it down "Still got this love for you deep in my bones, I remember every cold word I said. Every night I'm missing you in my bed...".
Justine Skye recently parted ways with Roc Nation and pushing forwards as an independent artist and has released her newest single simply called "Maybe" which a smooth and sensual number that was produced by Dre Skull, who has previously worked with big names like PARTYNEXTDOOR, Drake, and Wizkid. The song is so seductive with elements of R&B and Afrobeats within the production and her vocal delivery is so understated and soothing; "Said I'm your wife now and I'll take you, any way I want. Any way I like it, babe, said I'm your love now and you can't take back. Any way you want, any way you like tonight."
Toronto singer Daniel Caesar recently released his highly anticipated album "CASE STUDY 01" is a short but sweet offering that shows him confronting ideas, like the battle between good and evil, life and death and God and sounds so unapologetic that shit is so refreshing.
The most beautiful track on the album is "Superposition" which features John Mayer on the production, who does a stellar job at providing a solid foundation for Caesar`s science themed number that attempt to find a better understanding of the chaotic nature of relationships nowadays as we tend to try and tie off loose ends prematurely and pretend to know things we don't know, simply because we can't face the darkness of ignorance : "I know you think this shit is easy, for you, but not so much for me but I'll still ride, that's just the risk I'll take. I know you see me actin' sleazy, I'm working on it, take it easy. I'll figure it all out before I break"..

The Australian rapper Iggy Azalea dropped her long awaited second album "In My Defense" which her first full-length album since her 2014 debut album "New Classic". The album is a strong offering that showcases alot of maturity and serves a sound that speaks true to her as none of these tracks are commercial driven as she`s simply making music that she loves and people are fucking with it. One of the biggest highlight of the album for me is "Clap Back" which is produced by J. White Did It, the track is extremely cold as she goes all the way from start to finish and let people she got time to set the straight 'Cause I talk like this and my ass fat, they be saying Iggy tryna act black. Hatin' broke hoes get laughed at, all they do is cap like snapbacks. He hit me up, he said he having flashbacks, you're my ex for a reason, I don't backtrack. Gimme 50 feet bitch, back, back. I got time today, I'm finna clap back...."
