In 2002 Kelly Rowland released her solo debut album titled “Simply Deep” which peaked at number 12 on the Billboard 200, with singles: “Dilemma”, “Stole”, “Can’t Nobody”, “Train On A Track.”
This was an album that was so slept on, it had some hits and it was pretty solid from start to finish. It showcased Kelly’s voice nicely such as on “Haven’t Told You” and “Beyond Imagination”. Solange Knowles displayed her beautiful song writing skills and talents on the title track. The direction of this album was so free flowing and featured a mixture of R&B,pop music, working to Kelly’s advantage. She showcases her range, her playful side, her bitter and her sweet. I think BAD promotion and marketing followed this album, which made it badly overlooked. I didn’t even know the album was out until the end of 2002.
