Casual chic is all about looking stylish and laidback and having a huge attitude to back it up. Picking items that fit together like a puzzle and capture the lovely weather, check out the following look and hopefully find some inspiration within all.
Selected this vest top from Balmain, which features embossed gold-tone buttons going down on the front of the vest with a very cute gingham-check pattern, creating great combination that makes this top simply G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S. Paired it up with his acid wash skinny jeans that have a great faded appeal to them and Alexander McQueen`s stunning butterfly applique sandals, featuring crystal embellishments, an ankle strap with a side buckle fastening and a high stiletto heel.
Finished this look up with Mondo Mondo`s drop earrings, featuring green and blue stone detailing and another Balmain piece which comes in a form of a pink tote bag, fitting all your essentials with class and style.
The little black dress will never go out of fashion as it`s a timeless piece of clothing, that is versatile, can be switched up with accessories and is universally flattering. It was made popular by style icons such as Coco Chanel, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Hurley.
The best tip for a little black dress is to make it your own and wear it with confidence..
Selected this stunning Marques'Almeida black dress which features a high neck, three-quarter length sleeves, knitted construction and fitted silhouette. I paired it up with these elegant black leather padlock 105mm sandals from Tom Ford that will make you feel beautiful and strong in them. Featuring a peep toe, an ankle strap and a high heel. Added Jil Sander`s handlebar leather clutch bag in the mix, it features embossed logo to the front, gold-tone hardware and foldover top with magnetic fastening. And finished up the look with Jennifer Behr`s crystal embellishment hairband.
Your personal style expression is conveyed through the garments and accessories you choose to wear and the way you wear them. And it`s so important to that your personal style keeps on evolving with time and life experiences and also allows you to showcase all the layers that make you who you are.
As it`s so freeing to express your individuality so boldly and fearlessly. That`s usually where I come from when it comes to putting looks for people, seeing them finding themselves within clothing and feeling confident within our exchange. Today I want to focus on picking outfits that make a bold statement and oozes sexuality and class.
Tom Ford sure knows how to capture women`s sexuality through his garments as he always presents clothing that are so beautifully put together, like this stunning dégradé sequin gown. You'll be impossible to miss in this show-stopping number that featuring sequin embroidery, a v-neck, a sleeveless design and long length.
Added these stylish Dolce and Gabbana pink sandals, because they compliment the dress beautifully, they are made from lamb skin leather and have a D-shaped heel. So everyone will know you're in Dolce. Selected this box clutch from the same label as well, as it expresses so much femininity and sensuality, featuring pretty white enamel flower detailed padlock and sports a solid structure.
And I decided not to add a necklace to this look because I wanted the dress to shine on it`s on without piling on too many accessories so I keep it simple. With Adding a few accessories here and there, Pinko`s silver swallow bracelet that has snap-lock closure to it and these statement Chiquito hoop earrings from Jacquemus.
Wrapping up the week with this look, which is heavily inspired by the oversize clothing concept/trend, because pretty much there`s no going wrong with this look. If you are a short person, you can always wear a mini skirt with the oversized sweater above, it will make you look taller, as well as make you feel warm. If you are tall, then you can wear it pretty much with everything, trousers, skirts, or even only a sweater that is oversized enough.
Selected this black flocked monster sweater from the McQ Alexander McQueen collection, because it features a fun factor to it that I wanted to give to this look, especially with the graphics and solid background. I paired it up with this stunning multicoloured wool blend tartan-print asymmetric skirt from Chopova Lowena and with these black over the knee boots from Gianvito Rossi, that will elevate your mood and give you more height. Added these gold-plated crystal drop earrings in the mix, they are from By Alona and feature crystal embellishments and a structured hoop shape. Tied everything up with a stud-embellished shoulder bag from French fashion house Saint Laurent.
The late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, once said "black and white always looks modern" and it`s true cause they always keep you looking chic and compliment your body. Wearing black and white head-to-toe has become a timeless color combination that takes your look to the next level. You don't have to spend time worrying about what accessories will coordinate since black and white goes with everything.
I decided to go with Balmain for this look from head to toe to capture the whole mood of going out to classy event or attending a fashion show in New York or Paris. The first dress selection is a black and white bead-embellished structured dress, which has been woven with a striking geometric pattern. And the second dress is another black and white number but this time it`s a stretch silk blend sequinned crystal bodycon dress. Both of these dresses will make a statement and will definitely turn heads. B logo clutch is so smooth leather is designed in black, showing off a B logo plaque on the front. Featuring a gold-tone logo plaque, a foldover top with snap closure, an optional chain strap, an interior zipped compartment and multiple interior card slots.
I love dressing up women in outfits that make a strong statement and sees them stepping in any room knowing their worth. So I had so much fun putting together these looks, each one expresses alot of class and chic and boldness.

I was blessed with the opportunity to have a styling session with actress, singer-songwriter Adria Dinev. She reached out to me and we had a great conversation about fashion, she wanted to step out her comfort zone and thought I would be the perfect person to help her out with that. I was truly touched and excited to link up and when the day arrived, hopped on the train to central london to TopShop.
We had a blast and selected some pieces that are gonna be a great foundation for her future looks. Like this Victorian looking piece that goes well with her rock n roll appeal. She looked extremely adorable.
Putting Adria in this outfit was fun as it captures her Rock ‘n’ roll spirit. Selected a oversized faux leather shirt and matched it up with a maroon and black infused patterned skirt.
Adria`s favorite colour is red, so we came across this very stylish red little number. that looked good against her skin and she has a Catherine Zeta-Jones appeal about her, which I love.
Without a doubt Lil Kim and Missy Elliott, have had such a huge impact on the music industry and the fashion industry as a whole. They have pushed the boundaries of both fields, time after time and have laid down a solid foundation for the next generation to come through and do the same.
K.I.M
Ever since Lil’ Kim stepped on the scene, she has been unapologetic and fearless with her style and had some of the most iconic looks, that we have seen current artists emulating. From flamboyant outfits to her colourful wigs, she was never scared to step all the way outside the box that many artists are put in. She expressed so much luxury through her style and her hairstyles always went hand in hand with her clothing or the vision of her artistry.
“Colored hair and designer brands were really a part of Kim’s DNA, so this was a natural progression of combining those two elements. It was the manifestation of our work together from a place of authenticity and intuition.”- Misa Hylton
Here are some example of those who have followed her footsteps or used her as a source of inspiration.
M.I.S.S.Y
When Missy Elliott stepped on the music scene, she reintroduced Afrofuturism with her groundbreaking visuals and her creative sound, that always saw her stepping outside her comfort zone to deliver some impactful music. With each era she was able to push music forward and delivered looks that tied in with each album, her most iconic look has got to be the finger waves.
Elliott`s "The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)" saw her reintroducing the hairstyle back into mainstream consciousness. And while she didn`t create the look, she is the first person that comes to mind when the hairstyle is mentioned.
Currently Missy can been seen in some of the most artistic hairstyles, which include some creative braid designs, that her talented hairdresser Kellon Deryck put together. For example the artwork for her EP Iconology, sees her in a purple setting with her hair braided out to spell out her name.

In her "Throw It Back"video, she delivered yet another instantly-iconic scene that sees her with super-sized braids that are being used for Double Dutch jump rope by her dancers.

And in the video "DripDemeanor", she offers a range of different looks from royal blue hair and lime green hair which glows in the dark. And had braided hair sculptures, chocolate-covered strawberries and had apartment building actually on her head, that is wrapped around with braids.

Hip hop duo City Girls are seen on the cover of the Billboard, rocking out an Kellon Deryck creation. Which is really dope as his work with Missy has allowed him to flex his skills and creativity even further.
So highlighting Lil Kim and Missy Elliott is very important to me, as these two individuals have elevated not only music but showcased the evolution of fashion and hairstyles in the hip-hop community. So we should never stop celebrating, acknowledge those who paved way for the rest to follow through. Cause nothing comes out of thin air, it takes a bold and strong individual to step all the way out there and be the necessary change, needed for things to move forward.
